SLAB MATERIALS
GRANITE
Granite – is the rock most often quarried as ‘natural rock material’ that has been cut into blocks then slabs of specific length, width and thickness. Granite is hard enough to resist most abrasion, has a significant weight, inert, resisting weathering and can accept a brilliant polish. Has been used for thousands of years in interior and exterior applications. Indoor, polished granite slabs are used in countertop industry and other practical and decorative features. Granite countertops are a classic and popular choice because of resiliency, strength and number of unique color options. Over 400 colors available as premium surface as granite slab or tile selection offered with various color patterns.
MARBLE
Marble – Another rock that forms from limestone, being subjected to heat and pressure. Marble occurs in large deposits, allowing the be economically mined on large scale. It has the same uses as granite, but generally known for more porous and not being as dense.
ENGINEERED
Quartz – Engineered stone, mostly used being quartz, is a modern stone created with a mixture of stone aggregates hold by a resin and pressed into slabs. Abundant material used to create the engineered stone is present everywhere in nature due to forming in all temperature climates. Highly resistant to both chemical and heat making it one of the most resistant in surfaces industry. Engineered quartz surfaces are a popular choice in the market. Brands such as Della Terra Quartz from Arizona Tile and Q™ Quartz collection exclusive to MSI are available in a large variety of colors. This surface is known for being easy to maintain and doesn’t require sealers.
QUARZITE
Quartzite – Natural stone, consisting of 90-99% quartz grains bound by the mineral silica, available in many natural colors and suitable for a wide variety of residential and commercial uses. Considered the most dense from all four, most expensive per square foot and higher cost of manufacturing.
